Your Opportunity ImpactThe ideal candidate would be a self-motivated professional well versed in transportation technology management and processes as well as experienced in a wide range of highway and bridge design sectors.
This team member would work within our digital practice team and be instrumental in the success of our transportation teams. In this role, you’ll have the ability to multi-task and successfully implement across the wide spectrum of design groups and disciplines. This opportunity will require you to think outside the box and bring a creative and collaborative approach. You’ll work with staff located in other offices and other companies. You must also respond well to mentoring as appropriate to the level of the position.

Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with internal and external design production teams to initiate, produce and deliver projects
- Work with digital practice team to update, create, document, and implement CAD standards for the company
- Develop and implement project specific resources to ensure project design teams produce consistent deliverables
- Manage Bentley ProjectWise environment
- Oversee the work of department CAD coordinators, ensuring that drawings adhere to applicable standards
- Audit projects for compliance to internal design technology standards and external client standards
- Implement tools to validate compliance of projects CAD deliverables in adherence with the project's standards
- Contribute to the creation of Project Execution Plans for projects
- Implement and execute CAD quality procedures on projects
- Deliver CAD kickoff for applicable projects
- Deliver company CAD application trainings
- Coordinate with design partner's CAD Managers/Coordinators to resolve technical or logistical issues
- Collaborate with digital practice leadership to promote company objectives
- Mentor and develop transportation team members
- Coordinate with IT to solve local and project level problems related to CAD deliverables and project technology needs
- Maintain and support workflows for internal and external design content management
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
- Expense planning with digital practice team
- Managing and budgeting Bentley corporate account
- Stay current with trends and emerging technologies within the industry
Education and Experience- Associates degree in AEC related field
- 5-7 years’ experience of implementing CAD applications on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably on different scales of projects and sectors.
- 10 years’ experience and advanced knowledge of design technology applications such as Bentley Systems OpenSuite (OpenRoads Designer, Bentley OpenBridge Designer), ProjectWise, SelectSeries, LEAP bridge design, RM Bridge software
- 5-7 years’ experience working with transportation agencies such as PennDOT, PTC
- In-depth knowledge of PennDOT’s Digital Delivery Directive 2025
- Good planning skills and time management
- Possess strong initiative and ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Very good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of technology as a whole and experience with troubleshooting and collaborating with IT professionals to resolve technical issues.
- Experience working with LiDAR/Point Cloud data
- Experience in hosting CAD trainings
- Experience in developing, documenting, and implementing CAD standards and best practices for large teams across an organization
- Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities
- Strong understanding of transportation engineering processes
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in AEC related field
- Federal project experience and knowledge of DoD CAD standards
- In-depth Civil 3D experience
- Experience working with transportation agencies outside of Pennsylvania such as FDOT, ODOT
- In-depth knowledge of BIM360/ACC
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D customization and scripting experience
- Bentley customization and scripting experience
- Survey experience
- ArcGIS experience
